The team from the international aid organization ARTHELPS was a guest in Castle Waldenburg . Our office has been supporting the social-creative work of ARTHELPS for about 2 years. ARTHELPS is an initiative of creative people and artists that help people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds in a very special way: using ART In many projects all over the world, ARTHELPS supports people with a focus on children and young people. Whether in the refugee camp near Mosul Iraq, in eastern Ukraine directly on the demarcation line to Russia or in the Morro do Papagaio favela in Brazil.

2nd Aid - HEALS WHAT FIRST AID CAN‘T

All over the world ARTHELPS gives people a stage on which they can be free to design and express themselves creatively. At the same time, less privileged and threatened people get a protected space to rest and breathe deeply. ARTHELPS grants these people “2nd aid” and thereby strengthens their human dignity and personality. The first intensive collaboration took place at the end of 2019 when Anna Philipp was part of an ARTHELPS team in Jordan. We are currently using the lockdown time to prepare for other exciting joint projects. To be continued ...
