After a three-year break due to corona, we are finally looking forward to going on tour again as a team. The destination is obvious, as we are all excited about the new office location in Switzerland. And so we travel together to Zurich for two days.
With cappuccino and croissants, we start the day as a full team in "Der Bank" on Helvetiaplatz. It is a joyful reunion among old colleagues and a warm welcome to the new team members - a great get-together of all three offices in a magnificent location, with delicious food.
Well fortified, we then set off on a 6-hour architectural tour of Zurich: Site developments and building tours in the city centre are just as much a part of the programme as the ride on the Polybahn to the university district. In addition to numerous architectural highlights and innovative living and working environments, we learn a lot of new things about various urban development concepts and are amazed again and again by the diversity of the city. Particularly impressive are the inviting-looking bathing spots by the river and the abundance of greenery in the urban context.
In the early evening - we have successfully fought our way through thousands of demonstrating women - we check into the hotel and drive together to the restaurant. A delicious reception at the "Blue Duck" is the start of a long, happy evening at Lake Zurich.
Bright sunshine and a rich breakfast buffet await us the next day. We take the tram to the harbour and make a boat trip across the entire lake. Half past ten in the morning in Zurich - magic word Philipp Architekten - eh voilà the bar is open and we enjoy two hours on board.
The next highlight awaits us at the harbour in Rapperswil: a vintage bus - our personal shuttle to the Enea Tree Museum. Pure nature as a contrast to yesterday's urban day. We learn a lot about the museum, the concept and the field of landscape design and, after a joint aperitif in the beautifully designed museum, we set off to visit our new office location in Thalwil.
In the "Blaue Fabrik", located directly on the lake, we pop the corks and toast not only to Philipp Architekten's third office, but also to a successful trip.
Two great days with a diverse, varied programme and numerous wonderful experiences lie behind us.
